Purple Word Box was founded by Maria Joubert – a PR specialist with more than 20 years’ experience. Born and raised in South Africa, Maria moved to the UK in 2002. After working and holding senior positions at PR agencies in the UK for 11 years, Maria came back to South Africa where she still enjoys playing with words and focuses on ensuring a healthy return on investment for clients’ PR budgets.

Delia de Villiers

Communications Professional

Delia is a seasoned communications professional with experience spanning PR, strategy, content and writing.

Her professional journey has seen her work with a variety of dynamic brands – from global powerhouses to niche startups. She’s a strategic, big-picture thinker and adept at problem solving, while always maintaining a hands-on approach.

Delia is energised by ideas, collaboration and people. Outside of work she’s a hands-on mom, a keen reader and an ardent road runner.

My life is all about passion.  I do nothing in small measures and the same pertains to my photography. 

I have been doing photography full-time for the last 16 years and fell in love with the vibe when covering events, corporate photo shoots, as well as press kits and media-ready images.
